PrinterCorp's Green Initiative

Machine Recycling Program

As the community focuses more on the environment and clean disposal of commercial and other waste, it is vital that responsible companies develop voluntary programs for handling end of life products. No longer is it acceptable to dispose of office machines by committing them to landfill or shipping them offshore. It is for this reason that PrinterCorp uses the Ricoh Machine Recycling Program to help it's customers to be more responsible for our environment.

This program is a free program designed for our customers for the recycling of their Ricoh machines once they have reached the end of their life and since its launch in 2002, we have successfully recycled over 180 tonnes of Ricoh machines into reuseable materials. It is an integral part of our Product Stewardship policy.

As a responsible organisation Ricoh has developed viable recycling options here in Australia rather than exporting our waste machines offshore and creating disposal problems elsewhere. We accept all Ricoh machines as well as third party machines (OEM) for reuse or responsible recycling. We are constantly refining the process of end-of-life recycling of machines in order to achieve a greater resource recovery rate and minimise the impact of our products on the environment.

Toner Cartridge Recycling Program

This is a free program designed to be used by our customers to deal with the waste produced once our toner cartridges and parts have been spent. By using PrinterCorp's Toner Cartridge Takeback Program our customers can be assured that 100% of toner cartridges, toner bottles, waste toner containers, photoconductor units, fuser units, maintenance kits and other consumable products used will be recycled, achieving a recycling ratio of 100%.

The program has been in operation since 2001 and set the benchmark for the office automation industry then, and continues to set ambitious targets for cartridge collection to date.

Continuously Improving Results of Cartridge Collection!

The program recycles spent consumables reclaiming the plastic to make durable objects such as park benches, environmental awareness material and an innovative timber replacement product called eWood.

There are two zero cost options for customers wishing to be involved in the program; simply register for a Collection Box to be sent to you into which you can place consumables from any manufacturer’s facsimile machine, printer or photocopier for free collection. Alternatively, submit a request for post back labels to take advantage of our reply paid service to return your used consumables via Australia
